About

Ghea Sandrine Mawen is a data scientist passionate about using data to drive better decisions for African development. She holds an M.S. in Engineering Artificial Intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University Africa and a B.S. in Computer Science from the African Leadership University. As a Data Science Fellow with GanzAfrica, she led the development of an analytics dashboard for Rwanda's National Land Authority, transforming over 5.2 million land records into insights that informed national policy and planning. Her experience spans data analysis, dashboards, and machine learning, with a strength for making complex data clear and useful to the people who rely on it.

Beyond her professional work, Ghea is deeply engaged in community and youth leadership. In her free time, she volunteers as Data, AI & Strategic Foresight Lead for the World Food Forum Rwanda, supporting youth-led programs in food systems.
